"Through our experience with music as a family, especially with Music Together®, my daughter June has clearly become aware that music is something she can make herself and be a part of, and not just something to be experienced passively.

When June was just a few weeks old, I started playing a Music Together CD we'd been given as a gift. I didn't make a big deal about it; I just played the music and moved her legs and arms to the rhythm, and sometimes picked her up and danced her around in my arms, and always sang to her. It was a wonderful way to spend time with such a tiny child.

When she was five-months-old we took her to her first Music Together classes. She sat with big, wide eyes the whole time, watching everything that was going on, very intently. As time passed, she became more and more active with music, both at home and at Music Together classes. Now, at 19 months, she absolutely loves dancing and sings her favorite songs on her own! She adores music and has a great sense of rhythm.

Jill Janzen is a wonderful teacher, and we'll sorely miss her here in Bologna!"

- Ann G., June's mom, Bologna, Italy

"Music Together with Jill Janzen was one of the highlights of our week. My son and I especially enjoyed the lullabies when the lights would dim and he would actually lie still for a few minutes and be peaceful! Our improvisation skills have also improved during the years of Music Together; now, pretty much any activity can be transformed into song, from walking on the sidewalk to putting away the laundry!

- Alexa S., Edoardo's mom, Bologna, Italy

“We started taking Gabriella to Music Together classes with Jill Janzen when she was three-months-old. Even though my husband and I are musically challenged, Jill's energy and talent soon had us singing and dancing as a family.  Our daughter learned many songs and loves to sing and dance.  Now, at the age of three, she is making up words to music and sings to her baby brother.  Jill has given our daughter a great musical foundation through Music Together.”

- Carrie D., Gabs's mom, Jackson, Michigan

"My daughter loves Jill Janzen's warmth and fun-loving personality; Jill is a kid at heart herself! Along with all the fun, Jill leads classes with the insight and ability of a trained and experienced teacher. Her dynamic energy made Music Together something to always look forward to."

- Maria, Eva Luna's mom, Bologna, Italy

"I love to pretend to be a kitty cat and all the other animals in the songs."

- Eva Luna, age 5, Bologna, Italy

"We joined Music Together when my son Giulio was ten-months-old, and back then he would just sit and watch while I was doing all the work! But this is what Music Together teaches us to do, and it works!  I soon realized that a lot was going on in his little brain, because once at home he started making music with anything he would find around. I also realized that I could calm him by playing the Music Together CD we got from class. He would sit on the sofa just humming the songs. This transfixion also helped me a lot on airplane trips when Giulio was extremely restless until I started singing the ‘Leaves Song’ to him and he would fall asleep.

Our second semester was much livelier, and Music Together lessons became a kind of a workout for me, moving around the room and running after Giulio, which wasn't bad since I had no time to attend a gym!

We're enjoying our third course, but we also miss Jill Janzen; she was really a BIG part of the fun! But I'm happy I still have the CDs to remind me of those songs from past lessons. My son is now old enough to be able to sing them, even if they are in a foreign language!"

- Elena A., Giulio's mom, Bologna, Italy

“Felix (now 14-months-old) had so much fun in Jill's classes! It's such a great experience for me as a mom seeing my little 'marshmallow' (Jill's name for him) have so much fun making music. And I am astonished to see how many songs he already recognizes and remembers!

Felix continues to sing 'Bim-bam-biddy-biddy-bam' while bouncing around in his own groovy way, and we realized this summer while traveling in our car that this is absolutely his favorite song.  He started constantly asking for it by singing 'bim bim!' and dancing as best he could in his car seat!”

- Anne M., Felix's mom, Bologna, Italy

“Music together was a great experience for Alexander. He started when he was six-months-old, and now that he is two-years-old he always wants to sing the 'hello song' before going to bed! Jill was a great teacher, always smiley and full of energy. She made the winter so bright!”

- Maria G., Alexander's mom, Bologna, Italy

"My son is very excited about the music and being together with other kids. At home he always asks to hear the Music Together songs and then immediately starts dancing! Also for me it is a good opportunity to meet other moms. Jill Janzen exudes a great mood in the class, and it is always a pleasure to be there."

- Annette A., Arrigo's mom, Bologna, Italy

"Jill is nice and funny too-especially when she does that Wiggle!"

- Mattia, age 5, Bologna, Italy

"I went to Music Together with my two boys, who loved our weekly time together. My youngest son still has an absolute love for music that I know was encouraged by Music Together, and he still loves to sing the songs on the CD."

- Harriet W., Kai and Finn's mom, Bologna, Italy

“Music Together with Jill Janzen is the one and only activity that covers it all for my family: it crosses over the range of ages for my three boys; it crosses over time, because we do it all the time; it crosses over space, because we can do Music Together wherever we are. And the fact that each of my kids gets acknowledged and appreciated for his own unique contribution has proved hugely important. They each do contribute something unique. Jill spots their strengths and applauds them - at times showing me something I hadn't seen before.”

- Audrey S., Matteo, Luca and Giovanni's mom, Bolgna, Italy
